Meet the Owners: The Team Behind the One Percent Standard

At One Percent Hood and Vent, our leadership is defined by a culture of industrial rigor and mechanical expertise. We believe that commercial fire safety isn't just a cleaning task—it’s a maintenance discipline that requires a technical eye.

Growth is never by mere chance; it is the result of forces working together.

Jesse Dubberly

Jesse Dubberly is a dedicated family man and a long-term fixture of the Valdosta community. While Jesse has called Valdosta, Georgia his permanent home for the last four years, his roots in the area stretch back nearly two decades. With family who have called Valdosta home for 18 years, Jesse’s professional journey has taken him across the United States, traveling for work in diverse industrial petrochemical settings. After Jesse’s work and traveling, his ambitions shifted to raising his family and developing a deep commitment to the local economy and the neighbors he serves.

Professionally, Jesse brings over 10 years of hands-on experience in industrial maintenance and fabrication. His career has been defined by a "Safety First" mindset, including certified CPR, serving on the Safety Steering Committee, and first response rescue for one of Valdosta's major industrial employers.

What makes Jesse’s approach unique to the kitchen exhaust industry is his three years of specialized experience in Weld Inspection and NDT (Non-Destructive Testing). This background gives him a "Technical Eye" that goes far beyond the surface. He doesn't just look for grease; he understands the structural integrity of your ductwork and the critical nature of fire-containment seams.

Jesse’s goal is to bring an Industrial Standard of Care to your kitchen, big or small. He treats your rooftop fans, ductwork, and expensive cooking lines with the mechanical respect they deserve, ensuring your business stays safe, compliant, and operational.

David Hester

David Hester is the operational heart of One Percent Hood and Vent. A Lenox, Georgia native born and raised, David is a dedicated family man who draws his motivation from his commitment to his children and his deep-rooted ties to the community. After traveling extensively across the United States and gaining a broad perspective on service, work ethic, and the “Bonds of Brotherhood”, David returned home with a mission: to build a business that serves its neighbors through excellence and meaningful community outreach.

David is the ideal Operations Lead for the kitchen exhaust industry because he doesn't just understand how to clean; he understands how the entire system functions. With three years of specialized experience in HVAC and fire reduction systems, David possesses a rare technical understanding of airflow, ventilation mechanics, and the specific triggers that cause commercial kitchen fires. This expertise ensures that every job is managed with a focus on maximizing system efficiency and minimizing fire risk.

His foundation is built on eight years of professional welding, equipment operation, and mechanical repair. This means that when David is on your roof or in your kitchen, he is evaluating the health of your fans, motors, and belts with the eye of a repair specialist. In addition to leading field operations, David is a key strategist for the company's business development, ensuring that our technical capabilities align with the evolving safety needs of the Valdosta restaurant community.
